At the April 14, 2021 City Council meeting, the COVID-19 Fee Waiver Program was adopted for eligible Montebello residents. The Program will provide one-time, per household, fee relief from the period March 13, 2020 – December 31, 2021. For purpose of this Program, a household consists of all people living in a residence, regardless of familial relation. A total of $10,000 in funding is being proposed, to provide a variety of fee waivers based on the fees incurred.
Those interested will be able to apply to participate in this Program by completing the Program Application. To be eligible, applicants must be residents of the City of Montebello, provide proof of hardship, and must submit the request using the Program Application form. Examples of some of the request to waive fees associated with COVID-19 include invoicing for parking citations and tree removal. The COVID -19 Fee Waiver Program provides eligible Montebello households a one-time waiver in an amount not-to-exceed $600. To be eligible, an applicant must provide proof of financial hardship in order to be considered for approval among other requirements.
